My Night at the Ballpark

I'm sitting here watching a Storage Wars marathon (squee!), so I thought I'd multi-task and share some pics from the Phillies Block Party I attended this past Thursday.

The Phillies Block Party was held at McFadden's, which is located in Citizen's Bank Park, home to the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Block Party was held to raise money for Kisses For Kyle, which offers a variety of services to families fighting childhood cancer in the Delaware Valley (Pennsylvania).  I met so many nice people, and a few sports legends as well!  Check out the pictures after the jump below ("Read More >>")

Phillies Cake Pops!

I've been talking about them for so long, and now they're ready for their debut.... *drumroll*... my Phillies cake pops!!!

These pops will be paired up with Phillies Hall of Fame Club Seats- Phils v. Marlins (8/28/11) and will be up for auction tonight at the Phillies Block Party to benefit Kisses for Kyle(click on the picture to see a larger image of the pops)

There are 48 pops total, so here's the breakdown: each player on the 40-man roster is represented, as well as manager Charlie Manuel and the Phillie Phanatic, and six pops with the Phillies "P".  I think these are my favorite cake pop tags I've made so far!

I had so much fun making these, I decided to do a tutorial so you can make your favorite sports-team hat pops too!  Check it out after the jump ("Read More").

Past My Bedtime

Oy vey, another late night!  I definitely underestimated the work required for this Phillies cake pop arrangement.  When you combine mixing, baking, crumbling, rolling, dipping, detailing, bagging, tagging AND arranging... I think I'm up to 10+ hours of work.  Wow - it didn't feel like I did all that much, but looking back at that list of steps, no wonder I'm exhausted!

I didn't take pictures tonight, because the lighting wasn't right.  But I did snap this "sneak preview" of the tags I made for them... what do you think?
